Where to Find Free or Low-Cost Help with Arizona Probates
Losing a loved one is difficult to endure, and being tasked with handling the estate administration can be a daunting experience. Most people are unfamiliar with the estate administration process, so knowing where to go for help is important.
Free Assistance with Probates
The Maricopa County Bar Association offers free legal advice from probate attorneys for those who meet the income qualifications. The program is called the Probate Lawyers Assistance Project, or PLAP. If you qualify, you will get a 30-minute phone call with a probate attorney so you can ask any questions you have regarding Arizona probates, trust administrations, guardianships, or conservatorships. Call (602) 732-2834 to see if you qualify. You can also go their website by clicking on the following link: PLAP.
